Movie Theater         

Some teens at age 14/15 work at a local movie theater, such as AMC Theaters,Regal Cinemas. you can not only earn pocket money but also learn to communicate with others, as well, it's a very funny job.

Following jobs are available for you: usher, ticket taker, cleaning up, projectionist, customer service, food service and so on. Some like to clean up, beacuse it's easy. This sounds wierd, cause no one likes to clean up, but in reality when you're on clean up you're doing nothing at all like 80% of the time. All you do is clean a theatre when a show ends. This is in comparison to working at the snack booth - which is non stop fun of yelling kids. Ticket taker isn't bad, other than that you have to stand there and basically stare into space for hours not talking.

Find movie theaters around you, then go to apply for a opening job. If you have no job experience, you'd beter have a cover letter along with your resume. Besides the normal contact information, you can put in the letter why you want to work at the theater and the advantages to them of hiring you, plus it would set you apart from your competition.

During the job interview, they may ask the typical questions: Have you ever worked in Customer Service? Do you work well as a team? (At AMC theaters, you will go around in 'teams' of ushers, to clean up the massively trashed theaters that sold out). Have you ever operated a cash register and handled money? Have you ever worked in food service? So you'd better prepare youeself to answer these questions.

If they don't respond to your resume for a long time(one week or so), you should go to the same theater in person and ask them if they could take your application into consideration (ask the hiring manager).

Usually they start at minimum wage or just above minimum wage, and the benefit is that you can see parts of the movies for free. If you'd like, you can try to apply a job. Before that, you can viste their websites, which may offer new jobs information, good luck.
