He/she could shovel snow for people in the neighborhood. And in summer mow lawns, pull weeds.

Some places that sell ice cream/ice cream stands offer jobs for 14-year-olds.

Supermarkets, especially bagging groceries. Many grocery stores in some areas hire at 14. For example, A&P, Publixs, Kroger.

Fast food restaurants. Some fast food places hire at 14, e.g. McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Subway. Fancy restaurants will not hire you as a waiter.

If you need a job ask your parents to mow grass, water plants, watch children, help out old or young people,paper boy, build things from stores,ask to put things in certain racks at like gas stations or any other place you might visit,you can be a sweeper at a hair place or and restaurant, fast food place.

You might be able to get a CPR license and get a summer job as a life guard.

I now work at a horse farm. I help at parties, I groom the horses, and I do other stuff. You should choose something you like. If you like animals then you could help out at a shelter.

I used to work at my church watching the younger children in the nursery.

I work at a local bowling alley, they have a room for parents to drop off their children while they bowl on leagues. The bowling alley pays me because this way they get more people to sign up for leagues. Sometimes parents will also tip.

Work at a "Pick-Your Own" Farm. You will get paid a decent amount. For example, in the fall you can go to apple orchards and offer to pick up the apples that have fallen on the ground. I used to do this and get paid 50 cents a basket. This may not sound like much but the basket fill up quick and it still leaves time for other part time jobs.

You can start your own worm beds and sell the worms for fishing.

Offer to help clean out peoples garage, barn, attic, basement, etc. They will pay you to clear out the clutter. If theres stuff worth saving that they want to get rid of you can then have a garage sale to earn even more money.

Look for stuff at garage sales that might sell good on ebay. Remember to bargain at the garage sale, the less you pay the more you will make when you resell the item.

Paperboy.

Babysitter.

Walk dogs or pet sitter.

Look around your local corner shops, farm shops, charity shops to see if they have any availabilities.

Camp counselor. Or look at summer camps and after school programs to work with children. Programs are always looking for extra help with the little ones at schools

You can, actually, get a job at 14 if you live in a state that allows it (California, for example). Most places aren't normally willing to hire 14 year olds, but present yourself to them professionally and you'll definitely impress them. For the child labor laws, just do a search for "[your state] child labor law" obviously plugging in [your state] with the state you live in.

Do work for your neighbors, e.g. lawn, landscaping, or cleaning out garages.

Some public libraries hire 14-year-olds to re-shelve books. The pay is usually just above minimum wage. Also, during the summer, waterparks like SplishSplash (on Long Island) hire 14-year-olds.

you can work at a local pool. i (14 year old) am going to this summer as a concession stand worker. positions fill up fast! look in your local paper or civic center for applications or phone numbers.

If you live in an area where corn is grown, you can get a job detasseling for a few weeks out of the year. It's good money, but you have to get up early in the morning and work in very hot weather.

I'm 14 and employed in the fall and spring as a soccer referee, and in the summer as a Sno Cone Maker in the parking lot of the local recreation center. There are quite a few jobs for 14-year-olds here.
